About the Course
Paralegal Intensive is a six-week accelerated programme in Paralegal Studies, specifically designed for individuals with a minimum of one (1) year of experience working in the legal field as legal support professionals.
This course serves dual purposes: it functions as a refresher programme for those who are already certified in the field, and as a certification pathway for individuals who have been working in legal support roles without formal training or credentials. The curriculum is structured to strengthen core competencies and provide the foundational knowledge required for professional recognition in the paralegal and legal support profession.
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have a minimum of one year’s experience in the legal field OR possess prior formal legal training/certification in order to pursue this course. **NO CXC REQUIREMENT.
NB: A letter of recommendation or a job letter will be required, or alternatively, a certified copy of your legal certification must be submitted.

- Civil Litigation - Introduction to Civil Law : Torts, Personal Injury and Compensation
- Introduction to Contracts, Company and Commercial Law
- Conveyancing and Real Property Transactions
- Introduction to Family Law (Including Divorce and Matrimonial Property)
- Introduction to Probate and Administration of Estates
- Advance Paralegal - Law Office Management / Technology

For the completion of the application process, students will be required to submit the following documents to support their application, these documents can be scanned and emailed to certification_unit@ileja.org .
Documents to be submitted are:
- Proof of Qualifications - Recommendation / Job letter OR a certified copy of your legal certification
- Valid Photograph Identification (nationally issued which can be Driver's License, Passport, or Voters ID)
- Tax Registration Number (TRN)
- One passport-size photo
**A non-refundable registration fee of $5,000.00 is payable upon receipt of confirmation.

Fees are non-refundable after the first day of class. There will be a full refund of Tuition Fees Only paid for classes that are canceled.
